Core Match Flow
Each match unfolds across 18 turns. At the start, both players receive a hand of five cards. The first player leads with one card, and the opponent responds with a card from their own hand. The card with the higher rating wins the round, and both cards are added to the winner's squad collection. This simple compare-and-collect loop forms the backbone of every match, but the real depth emerges from when you choose to play your strongest cards versus when you hold them back.Nationality Doubling Mechanic
A key tactical layer involves nationality matching. If you hold a card whose nationality matches the card you just played, you can double its effective rating after the opponent reveals their card. This allows a lower-rated card to overcome a higher-rated one, turning what seemed like a losing round into a victory. Deciding when to use this ability and when to save matching cards for future rounds adds meaningful decision-making to each turn.Penalty Shootout Resolution
When both players play cards with equal ratings or matching nationalities, the round enters a penalty shootout. Each player draws three random cards from their remaining deck, and the player whose three cards have the highest combined rating claims all eight cards from the shootout. This element of chance injects excitement and unpredictability, rewarding players who have built a strong overall deck rather than relying solely on a few high-rated cards.Squad Selection & Final Scoring
At the conclusion of the 18th turn, the game automatically selects each player's eleven highest-rated cards to form their final squad. These two squads are compared by total rating, and the player with the higher total wins the match. If totals are equal, the tie goes to the player whose single highest-rated card is stronger. This end-of-match evaluation emphasizes the importance of building a balanced collection rather than hoarding a few superstars.Strategic Depth for Repeated Play
While the rules are straightforward, mastering the game requires practice. Knowing when to commit a high-rated card, when to rely on nationality doubling, and when to accept a loss to preserve stronger cards for later rounds are all skills that develop over time. The mix of deterministic card play and the randomness of penalty shootouts ensures that no two matches feel identical, encouraging players to refine their approach with each session.Compatibility
